it's totem time...

Have you heard of The Scribble Project yet?
July's collaborative sketch off is a mammoth totem pole reaching way up to the cyber clouds - made entirely of mixed up scribbles. With everyone (yes, everyone) invited to join in.

Here's a couple of my contributions, all created with a $2 pencil, badly worn biro and a couple of spare hours. It's highly addictive behaviour and a great excuse to be a bit silly. Find out more here. (Submissions close July 31st)

Here's to pencil shavings and ice-cream sandwiches.

three little eggs...

Scanning across my desk for some illustration inspiration, I spied a small collection of Russian stacking dolls and some Moroccan born treasures from some well travelled friends. Several minutes, turned into hours and before I knew it I had a "moroccan patterns" Google frenzy in full flight.
I want to give them all their own stories and a home to call their own. Maybe you can help me out? Some are mothers, and others are daughters. But they are all individuals in their coloured cocoons.
Here's to water pistols and all shades of white. xox

scuba dive, scream queen...

You know those nights? The ones when you toss and turn like a wide eyed night owl. And you think. You think like there's no tomorrow. Sometimes I feel like I need to let it all out before I hit the sheets. So I put pen to paper, and sketched it down in black and white. Maybe it wasn't the most promising remedy, and not exactly doctors orders, but it did make for some interesting space.

Here's to lemon icing and surprise black outs. xox
